2024 Solasian Youth Orchestra Application Announcement

○ Eligible Instruments

  - Strings: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass

  - Woodwinds: Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon *You may also play Piccolo, Eb Clarinet, Bass Clarinet and Contrabassoon

  - Brass: Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba

  - Timpani and Percussion

○ Eligibility: Ages 17-29 

○ Application Period: Wednesday, May 1-Friday, May 31

  ① Upload performance video on personal youtube account * Range of visibility: Partially disclosed

  - Video audition including introduction of yourself, free repertoire, orchestral excerpts

  ② E-mail submission

  - Required documents: Application and performance video link

  *You are not allowed to delete video on youtube by June 30th.

  *Application and Orchestral Excerpts sheets are listed on the website [daeguconcerthouse.or.kr].

○ Notification of admission: Tuesday, June 18 via website [daeguconcerthouse.or.kr]

○ Project Composition: Orchestral section, Instrumental section, Concert

○ Concert Dates: August 8th(Thu) / Daegu Concert House, Grand Hall 

   August 10th(Sat) / Tongyeong Concert Hall

○ Rehearsal: August 2(Fri)~10(Sat)

○ Venue: Daegu Concert House, South Korea

○ Program: J. Brahms - Piano Concerto No.2 in B♭ Major, Op.83

      S. Prokofiev - Symphony No.5 in B♭ Major, Op.100

○ Cost: FREE / Accommodation is supported for all foreign participants.
