  1. OnStage Korea 2025: GONIA Performance Group

    The Korean Cultural Center Washington, D.C. (KCCDC) presented the innovative Korean fusion band GONIA Performance Group for the first OnStage Korea performance of 2025 at Capital One Hall’s The Vault. GONIA showcased their unique blend of Korean traditional music and jazz fusion in a concert. The group combined janggu percussion and traditional vocals with jazz guitar and bass, delivering a captivating performance through dynamic rhythms and improvisation. 
  2. 2025 K-Pop Academy

    The Korean Cultural Center Washington, D.C. hosted the 2025 K-Pop Academy from July 7 to 19, offering a unique opportunity for local K-Pop fans to train with a professional choreographer from Korea. Through in-person sessions held three times per week, participants in the beginner and intermediate classes received level-based dance instruction, culminating in a final showcase on July 19.

    The Korean Cultural Center Washington, D.C .and JUB Cultural Center hosted a special traditional Korean dance workshop on Thursday, June 12, 2025, exploring jeongchwi—the charm of tranquility, mood, and atmosphere—through live performances and hands-on practice with master dancers. Participants experienced the elegance of Korean court and folk traditions by learning the basics of Sinawi Sogo Dance and engaging with traditional music and movement.
  4. K-Tourism Talk Show: Season 1, Episode 2

    The Korean Cultural Center Washington, D.C. (KCCDC) hosted Episode 2 of the K-Tourism Talk Show on May 28, where five diverse travelers shared their unique experiences, tips, and favorite destinations in Korea. From KBO baseball and temple stays to hidden travel gems and family reunions, the event offered fresh insights into Korea’s rich and personal travel stories.
  5. The Korean Cultural Center Washington, D.C. hosted The Lives and Stories of Korean American Authors on May 21, 2025, featuring Ginger and Frances Park, co-authors of Suka’s Farm, in celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. The authors shared their experiences growing up Korean American, discussed the real-life inspiration behind their new children’s book, and read selected excerpts. Families in attendance received complimentary copies of Suka’s Farm (while supplies lasted) and had the opportunity to get their books signed.
