K-Literature Book Club: Stories of Korea
- Post DateApr 29, 2026
On April 27, our first Book Club session was held and concluded meaningfully with a shared reading and discussion of 'Please Look After Mom' by Shin Kyung-sook. In particular, held ahead of Mother’s Day, the session carried special significance as we reflected together on the meaning of “mother” and motherhood. Participants generously shared their personal reflections and experiences in a sincere and thoughtful manner, and the discussion flowed naturally with active questions and exchanges. This created a lively and engaging atmosphere that went beyond a simple reading group, becoming a truly participatory space for dialogue and shared perspectives. It was also a meaningful moment in which participants from diverse cultural backgrounds were connected through the universal emotion of maternal love, allowing for mutual understanding and resonance across Eastern and Western contexts. Many participants expressed their anticipation for the next Book Club session, and we look forward to continuing with even more enriching and meaningful programs in the future.
