As the year wines down, the Baltimore Korean Movie Series presents the heist thriller The Swindlers (꾼), part of the Korean Cultural Center's regional outreach of free film screenings in Baltimore, in partnership with the Maryland Film Festival. After swindling countless victims, master conman Jang Doo-Chil (Heo Sung-Tae) disappears and is presumed dead. Rumors surface that he may be alive, but public prosecutor Park Hee-Soo (Yoo Ji-Tae) wants to make sure that he remains “dead.” Unlikely allies from different sides of the law must work together to achieve a common goal - trapping the world's most legendary conman. Park teams up with Doo-Chil’s old nemesis, fellow swindler Hwang Ji-Sung (Hyun Bin). Hwang is an intelligent swindler who only deceives fellow swindlers. Prosecutor Park and Hwang recruits other swindlers Go Suk-Dong (Bae Sung-Woo), Choon-Ja (Nana) and Chief Kim (An Se-Ha) in exchange for criminal immunity. 

Director Jang Chang-won's stylish high-stakes thriller The Swindlers (2017) won over fans with its original take on the modern crime caper, combining comedy, narrative twists, and pulse-pounding action.
