Members of the world-famous Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team will take flight in DC in a spectacular martial arts showcase, as seen on the CBS show The World’s Best with their impressive second place finish in 2019.  This Opening Performance event will also feature K-Pop dance by groups, Samulnori percussion music, and traditional cultural performances. 

As a civil diplomatic corps, the team conducts demonstration tours around the world, introducing Korea’s indigenous martial art tradition that has evolved into a pop culture icon of Korea as well as a global community and Olympic sport.

4:40 p.m. Taekwondo Demonstration by Kukkiwon

How to Attend

Free reservations are required for this special event (form below). For the safety of all visitors, proof of vaccination will be requested upon entry; those who opt not to present proof of verification are required to wear a face covering at all times during the event. Venue space is limited; all registration is first come, first served. Parking is local/street/self only.
