The Korean Cultural Center Washington, D.C. is pleased to present a special screening of Minari (May 14 - 15) in celebration of the broad critical acclaim for this American film by director Lee Issac Chung, including at the Academy Awards, Golden Globes, Sundance Film Festival, and elsewhere. 

A tender and sweeping story about what roots us, Minari follows a Korean-American family (Steven Yeun, Alan S. Kim, Han Ye-ri, Noel Cho) that moves to an Arkansas farm in search of their own American Dream. The family home changes completely with the arrival of their sly, foul-mouthed, but incredibly loving grandmother (Youn Yuh-jung). Amidst the instability and challenges of this new life in the rugged Ozarks, Minari shows the undeniable resilience of family and what really makes a home.

This film (116 minutes, PG-13) is viewable from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. EST on either Friday, May 14 or Saturday, May 15 with free registration. Ticket quantities are limited and registration is first-come, first-serve only.
